About Stephen Nelson
Biography
Stephen Nelson was born in Liverpool. He gained his BA in Fine Art at South Glamorgan Institute, followed by a Masters in Fine Art at Birmingham University (1985).
Solo exhibitions include:
“I Racconti del Lupo”, MACC Italy; “Little Wretches” Ken Art Space, London; Project 1, Contemporary Arts Society, London; “it’s a soft hard world”, Space Station 65, London;"Tepuis", Camden Arts Centre.
Recent group shows include:
Royal Academy Summer Show; "Matters of Soul", ASC Gallery London; "Doggerland", Thameside, London; "Bad Copy", Cardiff Story Museum, Cardiff; "What Duchamp taught me", Fine Arts Society, London; "Skin falls apart", Francesco Pantaleone Gallery, Palermo Italy.
His most recent curatorial (ad)venture is the establishment of a nonprofit art gallery, currently situated in a bus shelter on the edge of the Pollino National Park, Basilicata, Italy.
